Billing Policy


Queen Street Medical Centre Murwillumbah is a private medical practice. Fees are charged at a discounted AMA rate and all consults, face to face or telehealth, are billed according to duration and complexity. Some patients may be bulk-billed or receive a reduced rate at the Doctor’s discretion. Payment is required in full at the conclusion of the appointment. We accept payments of Cash, Credit Card or EFTPOS and are registered with Medicare for Electronic transfer for rebates.

Work cover appointments are invoiced to the patient. You can be reimbursed by claiming your work cover consultation from your insurer once your claim is approved and you have obtained a claim number. Work cover appointments are charged at rates set by the State Insurance Regulation Authority.

Telehealth Appointments

All phone and video consultations will be charged the standard fees listed above. All patients booking a telehealth appointment will be billed over the telephone by reception after completion of your appointment or can be made through HotDoc.

Missed Appointments

Due to high demand for appointments, cancellations made less than 2 hours prior to the booked time or missed appointments will incur a $20 Missed Appointment Fee. Please ensure you cancel your appointment 2 hours prior either by calling the clinic or via your HotDoc app. Any charges must be finalised before further appointments can be made.
