Community health services

We have long standing relationships with local hospitals, regional specialists and community health services such as community nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, dieticians and diabetic educators.

Murwillumbah District Hospital

Dr’s Shauna Purser, Graham Higgins, Joseph Biles, Philip Lambie and Rodney Street are part of the roster that provides all hours medical care at Murwillumbah Hospital. Our patients can be admitted to Murwillumbah District Hospital, under the care of those doctors, to treat a range of conditions. Patients can have infusions/transfusions and procedures performed at Murwillumbah District Hospital.

Training Doctors

This practice is accredited by RACGP for the training of fully qualified doctors for the specialised vocation of General Practice. These doctors are called G.P. Registrars. They work in the practice on six monthly rotating terms.

We also enjoy teaching Medical Students who are posted with us for one year terms from University of Wollongong Graduate School of Medicine.
